History Manus Software Europe

From industry to retail

ManusPlus was created in the early 90s as a custom application for a number of Hema franchisers and proprietors with a single large-scale branch. The software available at the time was primarily oriented towards industry and not suitable for store chains. It lacked the targeted functionalities required by retailers, such as flexible scheduling, collective labour agreement settings, scheduling recommendations, expense statements, and so on.

ManusPlus offers all functionalities in a single easy-to-use and experience-tested system. In recent years, the basic system has been expanded in its entirety and now contains comprehensive management support for:

  • Personnel scheduling
  • Budgets
  • Timesheet management
  • Attendance registration
  • Cost control
  • Monitoring
  • Collective labour agreements

The workforce management software can be used for both local and internationally operating store chains, hotel and food service establishments, sports and recreation and related sectors.

Manus

Manus was initially introduced as a standard package in a DOS version. The name ‘Manus’ is derived from the Latin word for ‘hand’ and refers to the fact that we register and work with the ‘hands’ of your organisation. One of the main goals of Manus Software Europe B.V. was and continues to be to develop an uncomplicated and customer-friendly user interface with functionalities that are tailored to the target group.

The first Windows version, manus ’98, was developed in response to growing interest among retailers in Manus as a software tool. The wide range of needs of larger store chains led to the development of a second package version, ManusII. This version introduced a more expansive organisational structure, approval functions on various levels and central and local working options.

ManusPlus

All old versions of Manus have now been phased out. The current version, ‘ManusPlus’ is a completely new set-up with a modern development environment. This workforce management software is scalable for every type of organisation within the target group. ManusPlus contains a powerful basic system that can be expanded modularly and links up perfectly with user needs. Various collective labour agreements in different countries, including the Working Hours Act in the Netherlands, are now supported as a standard feature, as well as specific and relevant information on various cultures and languages. As part of maintenance activities, customers receive the newest versions and updates as they become available, so that everyone benefits from the innovations in the software.

ManusPlus provides you with all relevant company information at all times, giving you optimal control over all aspects of your organisation. That is why our slogan is “ManusPlus, stay in control”.
